No sound on psp pls hel

one way what u can try is have your headset when u turn on the psp after switching off. then once again try restarting without it. now u might have sound if your speakers arent dead. else am sure ur speakers or connection to it is dead. else try wit different UMDs. again one more is try updating the psp to a newer version. if u have a software problem which causes the sound off then that might fix it.
