Matters how you are to them. I live in Brooklyn, but manhattan is my home. The west/south areas like SoHo, NoHo, the piers near Stuyvesant high and up and like Chelsea piers, all of those neighborhoods are nice. Just follow the hipsters :) hope I helped. Good luck!
