Is the Rev Wright's latest interview just a ploy to help Obama?

Why wouldn't he just keep his mouth shut? Is it a set up to give Obama a way out? Now, Obama can denounce him like he should have before and we'll all feel sorry for him to have a mentor turncoat on him. Is it Obama's newest 'political' manuvering, i.e., is he in on it? If he's not, Obama surely is not as bright as I thought. We will see by the way he responds and how his followers react?
